Hoy en día Lloret de Mar es el resultado
de la eclosión turística que se inicio 1900 , pero los origines de la localidad
se remontan mucho tiempo atrás.
Today Lloret de Mar is the result of tourist hatching that began in 1900, but the origins of the town go back a long time ago.

Los primeros pobladores han dejado huella
en las cumbres de las montañas desde donde vislumbraban todo, el
poblado ibérico de Montbarbat, Turó Rodo y el reducto del Puig de Castellet se remontan entre los siglos IV – III a.c.
The first settlers have left their mark on the summits of the mountains where they could glimpsed all, the Iberian settlement of Montbarbat, turó Rodo and Puig de Castellet redoubt from between centuries IV - III BC.
Fue durante la romanización que los
habitantes empezaron a bajar , creando villas y factorías, la hermita de la
Verge de les Alegries datada en el siglo XI de aire románico es la prueba que
hoy en día nos queda de ese periodo.

En la edad media Lloret estaba formado
por una población rural dispersa en el territorio en casas de campo, las
familias vivian de los recursos naturales que obtenían y todos ellos compartían
un centro espiritual, la hermita citada anteriormente. Lloret era muy
religioso,el señor feudal de la villa fue un Canónigo y el primer ilustre
nacido aquí fue Bernat Humbert en el siglo XI que fue obispo.
In the Middle Ages Lloret was formed by a dispersed rural population in the territory in cottages, families lived from natural resources obtained and they all shared a spiritual center, the hermitage cited above. Lloret was very religious, feudal lord of the village was an illustrious Canon and first born in the castele was Bernat Humbert ,who was bishop in the eleventh century .
Con el paso del tiempo los paisanos
fueron acercándose al mar, donde finalmente nació la villa marinera. Se creo un
nuevo templo mas cercano a esta zona y mas grande, la actual iglesia, en un
principio fue de estilo gótico, pero a principios del siglo XX la convirtieron
en modernista.
With the passage of time, the peasants were approaching to the sea, where the fishing village was finally born. They created a new temple nearest to this area and larger, the current church was originally Gothic, but early twentieth century became modernist.
Entre los Siglos XVII y XVII surgió una crisis socia y económica , muchos habitantes decidieron aventurarse a las
américas. Muchos ciudadanos crearon buenos negocios y volvieron llenos de
dinero, que invirtieron en la localidad. A todos estos se les llamaban indianos
y atrajeron un gran actividad de construcción de navios y relaciones constantes
de ultramar.
Between the seventeenth and eighteenth century there was a social and economic crisis, many people decided to venture to the Americas. Many citizens created good business and returned full of money, who invested in the town. All these people were called Indians and attracted a large construction activity of ships and constant relations overseas.
Estas relaciones hicieron desenvarcar en
nuestras playas a una gran colonia de italianos, de ellos conservamos
constumbres, topónimos y devociones como la de Santa Cristina.
These relationships made land on our beaches a large colony of Italians, we retain mores, place names and devotions such as Santa Cristina.
A partir de 1908, Lloret empieza a acoger
veraneantes, en su inicio de la península y a partir de 1950 llegan de todas
las procedencias, turismo europeo y del resto del mundo.
From 1908, Lloret begins to accommodate vacationers, in the beginning from the peninsula since 1950 come from all backgrounds, tourism from Europe and from around the world.
Por Lloret tenéis la posibilidad de ir
saltando en el tiempo, pasando por casas modestas de pescadores, casas
señoriales de aire neoclásico o modernista, chalets de los años treinta como el
falso castillo medieval de Sa Caleta o construcciones típicas de la
arquitectura de nuestra época.
In Lloret you can jump through time, modest homes of fishermen, neoclassical or modernist houses, mansions of the thirties as the fake medieval castle of Sa Caleta and buildings typical of the architecture of our time.
